Hourly Comic Day 2015

1st of February is Hourly Comic Day, a challenge to draw a diary comic every hour throughout the day.  It's mostly a fun, if gruelling, exercise that loads of cartoonists take part in across the world.  I did one this year after convincing myself up until about 10am that I wasn't going to.  It was fun though and well worth it, especially with other Edinburgh artists such as Aimee Lockwood, Zyzanna Dominiak and Sonya Hallett taking part at the same time.

Hourly Comic Day 2013 (part 2)

Yesterday was hourly comic day.  Here is the second part of my day.  I switched pens at this point after a whole day of frustration working with an uncooperative Staedtler.

Hourly Comic Day 2013 (part 1)

I'm participating in Hourly Comic Day.  The idea is to draw a comic based on your day for every hour you're awake.  This is part one of my efforts, from 4am - 3.  You can see my efforts from last year here.

Hourly Comic Day 2012

On a whim yesterday morning I decided to take part in this year's Hourly Comic Day, a challenge held every year on the first of February.  The idea is to draw a short comic about the last hour for every hour that you are awake.  By the end of the day you have a wee story about your day, and everyone shares what they've been up to and rejoices!

Anyway, it turned out to be a fun challenge.  It's been three years since I did '100 Tiny Moments From My Past, Present and Future' (where I drew an autobio comic once a day for 100 days) and it was nice to get back to doing some good ol' fashioned autobiography.  It's two very different projects, but I do feel that this glimpse of my life three years down the road is a nice counterpoint/afterword to the stories I told in '100 Tiny Moments...'.
