Another project I'm currently working on is a short, full colour comic with my friend Jamie, dealing with his subject of expertise: parasitology. We're creating an 8 page comic to be handed out for free at the
Glasgow West End Festival in June. The comic is designed to let people know a bit more about the types of parasites that cause malaria, leishmaniasis and sleeping sickness. In the fair there's going to be a giant trypanosome (cause of sleeping sickness), kind of like a Chinese dragon and these comics will give people a little explanation and context.
I'll post more as it progresses, but in the meantime a little lineup of our parasites...

From left to right: Plasmodium bursting out of a blood cell; Trypanosomes swimming in the blood, and a wee gathering of Leishmania.
Even more exciting is the front and back cover being designed and illustrated by talented New Yorker
Rachel Morris. I'll post her work here at a later date...
